Bombshell: Andre Onana Sent Parking From Indomitable Lions Camp Due To Indiscipline

Indomitable Lions keeper Andre Onana has been asked to stay in camp in Doha just before the game against Serbia for issues regarding Indiscipline, sportglitz.com can confirm after an initial report by RCM sports. An exact reason for Onana’s rustication is yet to be made known by the Cameroon Football Federation. However, a credible source has revealed to this online portal that Onana disputed the choices of some players fielded to play against Serbia, thus he was asked to stay at the hotel before today’s game.

The Inter keeper has been Rigobert Song’s first choice goalie since the arrival of the gaffer in March, and he played a pivotal role to Cameroon’s world cup qualification especially in games against Cote D’Ivoire and Algeria.

Onana was between the sticks for his world cup debut against Switzerland and put up a record number of passes for a goalkeeper (61) including 26 of those out of his area.

Davies Epassy of Abha in Saudi Arabia will therefore guard goal against Serbia at 11 am local time.

Even though the former Ajax man has never been far from controversy with the Indomitable Lions, this comes in as a huge shocker.

The Nkol Ngok native aged 26 denied representing Cameroon at the 2017 AFCON after making his debut in 2016, as he preferred to cement his place as number 1 at Ajax.

He however made his return since then and was first choice in 2019 when Cameroon played the AFCON in Egypt, as well as in this year’s AFCON finals. Onana has 35 appearances for the Cameroon. It is difficult to see where the indomitable Lions go from here, given the lad’s quality.
