Botola Pro: WAC Crowned Champions After Win Over Ricky Ngatchu’s Oujda.

Wydad Athletic Club (WAC) have been crowned Moroccan champions for a record – extending 21st time!

Wydad of Casablanca won on Wednesday evening, their 21st Moroccan championship – their victory on the patch of Mouloudia Oujda (MCO); club of former Cameroon Under-17 Ricky Ngatchu, by 2 goals to 0, on the the 27th day of the Botola Pro D1 championship. Ayoub El Kaabi scored at the 64th minute, and Yahya Attiyat Allah scored at the 90th mark.

Wydad have 63 points, 11 more than Raja with three playing days remaining. Raja on their part defeated Moghreb Tétouan by a 4-1 score line.

With this new coronation, the WAC now has 21 titles, including 16 won since the creation of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) in 1956. Bitter rivals Raja are still on 12.

At the final whistle of the game, fans detonated a few fireworks in the city.
