Bryan Mbeumo Brace Lifts Manchester United to 4–2 Victory Over Brighton
Old Trafford was in full voice on Saturday evening as Bryan Mbeumo produced a dazzling display to guide Manchester United to a 4–2 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League.
Matheus Cunha opened the scoring in the 24th minute with a composed finish before Casemiro doubled the lead ten minutes later. Brighton clawed one back through Danny Welbeck in the 74th minute, but Mbeumo took control of the contest in trademark fashion first striking in the 61st minute, then sealing the win deep into stoppage time (90+7). Charalampos Kostoulas had briefly threatened a comeback for the visitors with a late goal (90+2), but Mbeumo’s second ensured United claimed all three points.
The Cameroonian forward has now been directly involved in eight goals in his last five Premier League matches scoring five and assisting three. This latest brace continues his strong form since joining Manchester United, where he has quickly become a key figure in Rúben Amorim’s high-energy system.
Speaking after the match, manager Rúben Amorim praised Mbeumo’s relentless work ethic and tactical intelligence:
