CAF CC: Al Ahly Tripoli Takes Sweet Revenge Over Pyramids

Ahly Tripoli managed to take their revenge on Pyramids (1-0) on match day 5 of the CAF Confederations Cup, after their defeat to Pyramids earlier in the tournament.

Al Ahly Tripoli are the new leaders of Group A of the Confederations Cup. Beaten on the first day at the June 30 stadium by the Egyptians – Pyramids, the Libyans returned home to take the lead in the group.

It was defender Omar Gaber who scored an own goal at the 54th minute.

That was a great victory which came a few days after having dominated and defeated Zanaco.

At the end of the match day, the Libyan club now has 12 points while Pyramids fall to second position with 9 points. The last day in Group A will be crucial for the final standings.
