CAF CC: Berkane Held By USGN

The National Union Sportif Gendarmerie (USGN) drew against RS Berkane (2-2), on Sunday, in the occasion of match day 5 of the group stage of the CAF Confederations Cup.

It was indeed a result that seriously compromised the chances of qualification of the Niger side, who would have some regrets.

USGN led 2-1 for chunks of the game, before RS Berkane equalized at the very end.

The ‘Gendarmes’ first of all came from behind to quickly respond to Berkane’s opener.

In the 36th minute, Adebayor Adjé put the two teams on parity, after Berkane had taken the lead through the spot via El Fahli (22nd).

Adjé once more scored at the 62nd minute for the double. USGN were atop their opponents up until the 90th minute when Fekkak, who came into play as a substitute, scored at the 93rd minute.

With 5 points, the USGN is last in the group. RS Berkane is second with 7 points. The 6th day promises to be decisive. Berkane will receive ASEC Mimosas while the USGN travels to Tanzania to face Simba SC for a more than difficult game.
