CAF CC: Eloi Lupopo Nick A Point Away To Al Akhdar

Football club St Eloi Lupopo of Lubumbashi and Libyan side Al Akhdar drew one-all on Wednesday, in game day 4 in group A of the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup, at the Benina Martyrs stadium, Benghazi.

After Lupopo led until the dying minutes thanks to Horso Mwaku in the 15th minute, Akhdar equalised in borrowed time (90+1) through Richmonde Boackye.

The scoreline does not help the affairs of the two teams at all. Saint Eloi Lupopo are 3rd of their group with 4 points in four outings including a draw, a victory and two defeats while the Libyans remain last with 3 points.

Mohamed Magassouba and his men will also have to win the next two games to hope for qualification if possible. On March 19, Lupopo will receive Usm Alger in Ndola.

In the other match of the group, Marumo Gallants of South Africa won at home against Usm Alger (Algeria) with the score of 2-0. With this victory, the South Africans lead the group with 10 points, followed by the Algerians with 7 points
