CAF CC: Fans Regret  Omossola’s Absence As Vita Lose To Marumo Gallants

AS Vita fans are going absolutely berserk on the team’s official media handles as they lost 2-1 in the second round of the CAF Confederation Cup against South African side Marumo Gallants.

The fans of the 2020/2021 LINAFOOT vice champions believe their loss was partly owing to the fact that they missed their first choice goalie, Simon Omossola – who couldn’t make the trip as he was given a breather, having arrived late from the international break.

Back up goalie Landú Mavanga didn’t have his best game and it proved costly for AS Vita.

Former Cotonsport duo
Zacharie Ndongo Foe and Mbarga Abega all put in shifts but it wasn’t meant to be for the men of Dominique Cionci.

A brace by Celimpilo Ngema secured Marumo Gallants the much needed victory  against AS Vita Club at Peter Mokaba Stadium.

Ngema scored in each half to give Gallants the three points ahead of the send leg match scheduled for Friday, 22 October in the DRC.

Another victory for the Gallants  will secure them a place in this year’s group stages amongst some of the big clubs in the continent.

Murumo Gallants stunned a star-studded Futuro Kings side in the first round to make it through to this stage.
