CAF CC: YANGA Defeat Real Bamako 2-0 To Edge Closer To Quarter-Final

Young Africans are well underway to accompanying Monastir as the other team to sail through to the quarter-finals of the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation cup in Group D. The Tanzanian outfit hosted Real Bamako on Wednesday on the occasion of game day 4 and ran away 2-0 winners.

Ace forward Fiston Kalala scored at he 8th minute and Ducapel Moloko added another 8 minutes after the hour mark, to send the Tanzanian representatives to second place in the group with 7 points, ahead of TP Mazembe who are on 3 points.

The reigning Tanzanian champions still have two games to go, but a win against either Monastir or Mazembe seals qualification to the quarter-final.

YANGA hosts Monastir on Sunday, March 19 at the Benjamin Mpaka stadium, and end their campaign away to Mazembe in the DR Congo.
