CAF Champions League: Fovu Dumped Out Without Losing

The club based in the West region of Cameroon could not do better than a draw (0-0) against Petro de Luanda in the preliminary round of the CAF champions league on Saturday, September 18 in Angola.

Fovu of Baham faced Angolan club Petro de Luanda at the November 11 National Stadium in Luanda, Angola on September 18, 2021. The match counting for the return of the first preliminary round of the Champions League was held behind closed doors due to measures to prevent Covid19.

In the first leg, Petro from Luanda tied 2-2 against Fovu from Baham last weekend in Yaoundé. The Angolan team conceded the first goal in the 14th minute, scored by Alexander Nsangue, but Tiago Azulão restored the tie in the 19th minute. The other goals were scored by Jaredi de Petro de Luanda (45 + 1) and Ikpeme for Fovu Baham (90min).
Fovu of Baham had to win at all costs today to hope to advance to the second round of the Champions League prelims. The exploit hardly took place.
