CAF CL: Amine Tougaï Scores In Borrowed Time To Gift Espérance Three Points Against Merreikh

Amine Tougaï struck late in added on time to give Espérance all three points against Al Merreikh in group D of the TotalEnergies CAF champions league.

In their opening game of the CAF Champions League, Espérance Sportive of Tunis did the essential by winning one-nil against Sudanese outfit Al Merreikh in Radès.

The “Sang et Or” literally dominated the game and created many chances, especially in the second half, but they always struggled with decision making in the final third.

Fans in Radès had to wait up till the 4th minute of additional time, thanks to a goal from Mohamed Amine Tougaï who took advantage of a messy situation in the area to deliver his team all three points.

After the victory, EST joined CR Belouizdad at the top of this group D.

Nabil Maâloul’s men will play their next match in Algeria against Belouizdad.
