CAF CL: Belouizdad Pip Merreikh In Group To Blow Group D Open

CR Belouizdad won against Sudanese side Al-Merreikh on Tuesday evening at the May 19, 1956 stadium in Annaba, on match day 4 of group D, in the TotalEnergies CAF champions League.

The only goal of the game was scored by Mohamed Islem Belkhir five minutes after the half-hour mark.

In the other game in group D, Zamalek won at the Bordj Al-Arab stadium in Alexandria against ES Tunis (3-1).

At the end of these results, Chabab, who came into the game on the back of two defeats, rose to 2nd place in the standings with 6 points, three behind leaders Espérance (9 points). Al-Merreikh and Zamalek follow with 4 points.

Game day 5 will be played on March 17 and 18. CRB will host Zamalek while the EST will challenge Al-Merreikh.

The first two of the group will qualify for the quarter-finals.
