CAF CL: JSK Win At Depth Against Vita

JS Kabylie came behind at the July 5 stadium to defeat AS Vita Club 2-1 in the final stages of the game on game day four in the TotalEnergies CAF champions league.

The first half did not promise little in terms of chances created and goal mouth actions. The absences of Souyad in defense and Boukhanchouche in the mid caused Kabylie great trouble. However, Hamdi’s men still return to the locker room having created two chances.

Bouailia’s entry in the 45th minute did the canaries some good, but they were picked off cold by an overpowering distant free kick from Tchakesi which left goalkeeper Medjadel no chance at the 55th minute.

Subsequently, it was Boumchera, who came on the hour mark, who ensured some consistency to the yellow and green after his entry. A corner from Bouailia found defender Benzaid free in the area and he equalised with a left footed volley.

The stadium was starting to believe in their team again and pushed JSK players with cheers. On a nice recovery from Benzaid, Boumechra intelligently deflected the ball for the young striker Nait Salem (21 years old) who came into play in the second segment. The latter did not tremble in front of the goal as he fixed the goalkeeper with a beautiful curled shot (86th).

Still, JSK are now second in the Group A standings and will have the opportunity to ensure their quarter-final qualification next against Petro Luanda club.
