CAF CL: Petro Oust Zamalek, Sends Wydad Through With Victory Over Sagrada

Petro Luanda beat Sagrada Esperanca 3-0 at home on Saturday on match day 4 in group D of the CAF champions league, a result that allows Wydad of Casablanca to secure one of the two tickets for the quarter-finals, and oust Zamalek out of the competition.

The Reds, victorious over Zamalek (1-0) on Friday in Cairo, occupy second place with 9 points, 7 points clear of the Egyptian club, who are third in the standings with just two points.

The first place is temporarily occupied by Petro Luanda, who totals 10 points, while the other Angolan club, Sagrada Esperanca, are left with a single point.

Petro’s goals in Saturday’s fixture was scored by Tiago Azulão ( double at the 1st and 44th minute), and Erico Castro through a penalty at the 90+5 minutes .
