CAF CL Prelims: Hilal Place A Spanner In Yanga’s Works

At a packed Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam, Florent Ibenge and Al Hilal secured a valuable 1-1 draw against Young Africans in the first leg of the second preliminary round of the CAF Champions League.

Despite the opener from the yellow and greens by Fiston Kalala Mayele in the 5th minute upon resumption of the second period (50), Ibenge and his charges managed to put parity in the contest at the 62 minutes after, courtesy Abdel Raman.

Hilal will head back to Khartoum in control and could win their qualification for the group phase at home on Sunday October 16.
