CAF CL: Sahel Drop Jwaneng Galaxy In Final Group Stage Game

Etoile Sportive of Sahel finished 3rd in Group C, after beating Jwaneng Galagy of Botswana (3-2), in a match counting for the 6th and final day of the group stage in the CAF Champions League, on Friday at Rades in Tunis.

ES Sahel opened the scoring in the 10th minute through Vinny Bongonga Kombé, before Baligh Jammeli doubled the lead in the 70th minute.

Gilbert Baruti then reduced the mark for his team in the 80th minute, but Yassine Amri increased tally for Etoile in the 82nd minute to make it 3-1.

Baruti added one more for Jwaneng Galaxy at the 85th minute, but that was that.

It should be recalled that the first meeting of these two on February 19 in Botswana ended one-all.

Sahel thus finished 3rd in group C with 6 points, ahead of their opponent of the day, Jwaneng Galaxy, who ended on a single point.

Esperance de Tunis and CR Belouizdad are first and second in the group respectively.
