CAF CL: Simba Revive Quarter-Final Hopes With Win Over Vipers

Simba SC recorded a 1-0 win against Vipers SC on Tuesday, March 7, in the TotalEnergies CAF champions league on the occasion of game day four in group C. The victory brings back the Tanzanian club in the mix for the quarter-final.

Two matches against Vipers have been look-a-likes. Winners 1-0 in the first leg, Salum Manila and his teammates won the return leg with the same score. The victory came thanks to a goal from Cletus Chama in the 45th minute.

A slim but impactful victory for Simba SC in the race for a qualifying place. The Tanzanians move to second place in Group C with 6 points.

Qualification still remains very possible following Horoya’s 3-1 home defeat to Raja Casablanca. Raja retains first place with 12 points.

As for Vipers SC, the chances of qualifying become very slim. The Ugandan club remains last with 1 point behind Horoya AC (4 points).
