CAF CL: WAC Rebound With Triumph Over Zamalek

Wydad Casablanca won at home against Egyptian side Zamalek (3-1) on Saturday evening at the Mohammed V Sports Complex in Casablanca, on match day 3 of group D in the CAF Champions League.

WAC has thus, increased her chances of reaching the quarter-finals of this competition, with the scoreline. The victory comes after the loss to Petro on match day 2.

It was Zamalek who opened the scoring at the 3rd minute through Ahmed Sayed Zizou, before Zouhair El Moutaraji equalized for Wydad a the 27th minute.

Amine Farhane widened the gap in the 37th minute, while Yahya Jabrane sealed the deal with a third goal in the 88th minute.

It is a great rebound for WAC who lost their last match (2-1) against Petro de Luanda in group D. WAC are second with 6 points from 3 games.
