CAF Confed Cup: 10 Man Ittihad Defeat Leopards

In a delayed CAF Confederations Cup group B game, Al Ittihad played and defeated Royal Leopards on the travel, despite being reduced to 10 men.

The Libyan representatives took the lead at the 2nd minute of play, through 22 years old Muad Eisay. It wasn’t long till Ittihad got their second through Libyan international, Omar Al Khouja, five minutes after the half hour mark.

At 2 nil, Royal Leopards tried not to go down without at least a fight. It was due to their pressure that coach Edwin Matsebula’s men got an equaliser through Bin Ali’s own goal.

It wasn’t meant to be for Royal Leopards as the next big event that followed up in the game was an Ittihad red, but Leopards couldn’t take the advantage with just 2 of 5 minutes left in added on time.

Al Ittihad takes possession of the group with 7 points in 3 games, while Pirates are second with 6 points in group B
