CAF Confed Cup: Al Ahly Tripoli Push Zanaco Near Extinction

Libyan side Al Ahly Tripoli beat the Zanaco 2-0, on match day three of the CAF Confederation Cup in group A, played on Sunday in Benghazi.

It proved to be a tight affair in the first half as it ended all square, at the Martyrs of February Stadium.

The second half was more eventful and brought two goals for Al Ahly Tripoli.

The goals were scored by Ahmed Terbi (79) and Mohamed Al-Mounir (85).

Earlier in the day, CS Sfaxien lost to the Pyramids FC (0-1), as the group is gradually taking shape.

At the end of the match day, Pyramids consolidated its leadership with 9 points, ahead of Ahly Tripoli (6 points) and CS Sfaxien (3 points), while Zanaco tops from the bottom with no point recorded thus far.
