CAF Confed Cup: Bernard Morrison Scores Late To Crush Gendarmes Hearts

A completely ruined weekend for the Union Sportive de la Gendarmerie Nationale, who had a win in their hands against Simba, and threw it away in the last minutes.

On Sunday, February 20, as part of the second day in the CAF Confederation Cup group stage, Union Sportive de la Gendarmerie was forced to a draw by Simba SC one-all.

Defeated a week ago by Renaissance Sportive of Berkane (3-5), the USGN was keen to recover at home.

It started well for the Niger side. From the 12th minute, it was Wilfried Gbeuli who found a leakage and offered the advantage to his team.

The rest is a succession of opportunities for USDG who fail to add to on the money. They were penalized in the 85th minute, when Bernard Morrison equalized for Tanzania’s Simba SC just before the final whistle.

After two games, the USGN find themselves last in Pool D with one point. Simba SC are top with 4 points so far.
