CAF Confed Cup: Otoho Blows Open Group C With Victory Over Al Masry

Republic of Congo representatives AS Otoho d’Oyo beat Egypt’s Al Masry 1-0 on Sunday to take second place in Group C of the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup.

The Congolese found the utmost important goal through Roland Okouri three minutes to the end of the regular playing time.

It was indeed a much needed victory for AS Otoho, who drew 1-1 last week against Cotonsport, and then went on to win their first group stage game, that now propelles them to four points; two less than leaders TP Mazembe, who beat the Cotonsport of Garoua in Lubumbashi.

The group is anyone’s for the taking as even bottom of the group Cotonsport still has three games with two matches set to be played at home.

Next up for Otoho on March 3 is a reversed tie against Al Masry in Egypt.
