CAF Confed Cup: Otoho Scramble From One Down To TIE Cotonsport

AS Otoho and Cotonsport separated with a draw (1-1) on Wednesday, February 23 at the Martyrs stadium in Kinshasa.

Cotonsport thus keeps massive hope after 2 matchdays in group games of the CAF Confederation Cup.

For AS Otoho, they took their first point in the group stage game after their earlier loss to rivals TP Mazembe.

However, the Congolese representatives narrowly avoided a second defeat by equalizing in the telling minutes, after Cotonsport opened scores with a very first goal from Herve Ngomo.

Cotonsport opened the scoring against the run of play in the 68th minute thanks to defender Herve Ngomo, as Otoho came back from a good but sterile first half of domination.

In the second half, Alou Badra somewhat changed his tactics and got trapped.

Junior Makiese used his in-step to beat the Cotonsport goalkeeper Allambatnam Gadin for the equalizer (74th minute) on a pass from Massoumou.

It came in after Cotonsport took charge with a bullet header from Herve Ngomo from a corner. Cameroon champions Cotonsport now have two points, one behind second placed TP Mazembe.
