CAF Confed Cup: Pirates Bounce Back From Two Down To Steamroll Leopards

From two down, Mandla Ncikazi bounced back incredibly to hit Royal Leopards for 6 at the Mbombela stadium.

Royal Leopards opened the scoring through Mabelesa as early as the 6th minute of play. Pirates were further staggered by Thabiso Mokenkoane’s goal two minutes after the first.

The comeback for Pirates started courtesy an own goal from Machawe Dlamini.

The Eswatini representatives didn’t know how to manage the game and Pirates took advantage to level up. Bandile Shandu put his side on level terms at the 3th minute and then Peprah gifted the Pirate’s the lead just before the pose.

Happy Jele doubled the money for Orlando Pirates (4-2) at the 57th minute before Dlamini (60) and Terrence Dzvukamanja put a gloss on the scoreline.

Pirates lead group B with 6 points after the earlier draw by Al Ittihad and JS Saoura.
