CAF Confed Cup: Pyramids Leave It Late Against Zanaco

Pyramids obtained a victory at the tail end of their game against Zanaco, on match day 6 of the group stage in the CAF Confederations Cup.

The Egyptian representatives won via a narrow score of 1-0 in their home patch.

At the end of an encounter totally dominated with 66% possession, the Egyptian club got around Zanaco’s trap in the 90th minute to steal it late.

The only goal was scored by Islam Issa, on a pass from Abdallah El-Said. Despite this cictory, Pyramids finished second in group A.

Al Ahli Tripoli of Libya held Tunisia’s CS Sfaxien (0-0). Al Ahli Tripoli finished first in the group with 13 points, the same number of points as Pyramids.
