CAF Confed Cup: Pyramids Pip Sfaxien

Pyramids is on a winning spree having won three out of three games in the CAF Confederation Cup.

The Egyptian club won against Club Sportif Sfaxien (1-0) thanks to a goal from Ali Jabr scored in added time on match dau 3 of the CAF Confederation Cup on Sunday, February 27 in Egypt.

Winners of their first two games against Al Ahli Tripoli and Zanaco, Pyramids approached the match with the aim of winning a third game to fly to the top of the standings and take the lead and possibly an option of qualifying early to the knockouts.

A star contrast was Sfaxien. The Tunisian representatives were looking to return to winning ways after their setback against Al Ahli Tripoli on the second day.

Ehab Galal’s men dominated and had several attempts on Aymen Dahmen’s goal, the Sfaxien goalkeeper.

As the game headed towards the end with a 0-0 scoreline, Ali Jabr found the net in the 90+2nd minute. It is a win that allows Pyramids to take the lead in the standings with 9 points while CS Sfaxien remains third with 3 points.
