CAF Confed. Cup: Pyramids Share Spoils With FAR

Pyramids and FAR Rabat shared spoils in an entertaining two-all draw at the June 30 stadium, in group C of the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation cup.

Pyramids FC failed to make use of the home advantage as they held to 2-2 draw with FAR Rabat.

Mostafa Fathi needed only one minute to give Pyramids FC an early lead after scoring a snappy goal from inside the area thanks to a brilliant assist from left back Mohamed Hamdi.

FAR Rabat forward Diney Borges scored the equaliser in the 26th minute.

In the second half, Mostafa Sahd doubled the score for FAR Rabat in the 73rd minute, but winger Abdallah El-Said notched the equalizer two minutes later to finish the game 2-2 draw between the two sides.

Pyramids FC booked their place in the group stage of the Africa’s secondary club competition after beating Nigelec of Nifer 3-1 on aggregate.
