CAF Confed Cup: Pyramids Through With 2 Games To spare

On match day 4 of the CAF Confederations Cup, Club Sportif Sfaxien could only harvest a draw against Pyramids FC (1-1), on Sunday, March 13, as Pyramids did enough to go through with 2 games to spare

With their backs against the wall before the match pending exit without maximum points against Pyramids FC, Club Sportif Sfaxien were held at home via a 1-1 scoreline.

Led 0-1 at half-time following a goal by Walid El Karti in the 44th minute, Sfaxien managed to come back and equalize thanks to Firas Chaouat’s 53rd minute strike.

This result does not suit Sfaxien who have a complicated task of qualifying for the knockout phase.

In the standings, Jorge Costa’s men are sat on 4 points and remain in 3rd in Group A, 6 points behind their opponents on the evening, who lead group A with 10 points.

The Egyptians, on the other hand, ensured their qualification for the quarter-finals.
