CAF Confederation Cup: ASEC Draw Level With Motema Pembe At Home

ASEC Mimosas began their TotalEnergies CAF Confederation cup campaign with a stalemate against Daring Club Motema Pembe, in group B.

The game was played on Sunday at the Yamoussoukro Stadium at 4 p.m. GMT.

Last season, ASEC started the competition with a 3-1 defeat in Tanzania against Simba SC.

This time, they launched the tourney before their home crowd, with an uninspiring zero-all tie.

The Ivorians, who started as favourites, even after dominating the whole match, could not score the goal which would have allowed them to gather all 3 points of the match. Diable Noir take the lead in group B after their resounding 3-0 victory over Rivers United.
