CAF Confederation Cup: CHAN star Mahious Scores In USMA’s Win Over Eloi Lupopo

2022 TotalEnergies African Nations Championship golden boot winner, Aymen Mahious (5 goals) was on target for USM Alger as they defeated FC Lupopo 3-0 in group A of the CAF Confederation Cup.

Mahious scored to make sure of all three points after Bousseliou had scored a brace.

Algerian club USM Alger made a successful start in the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup. The Algerian representatives planted three goals in the net of FC Lupopo without reply.

Bousseliou opened the scoring following a pass from Redouani. One-v-one with Kisanga, the Algerian striker neatly tapped in.

Bousseliou completed his brace four minutes after the hour mark after a hesitation from the defense of Lupopo.

The stage was set and CHAN star Aymen Mahious beautifully crafted a free-kick that went in at the 83 minute.

The game ended 3-0 in favor of the USMA.
The victory means USMA will temporay settle in first place in the standings with three points, with the same number of points as the South African club Marrumo Gallants who easily defeated Al Akhdar.
