CAF tells Eto’o to stay clear off Njitap as rift heightens

On March 26, sportglitz revealed for the first time that the investigation Chamber of Fecafoot’s Ethics Commission had summoned Mr. Geremi Njitap, President of the National Union of Cameroonian Footballers (SYNAFOC) and General Secretary, Mr. Daniel Blaise Ngos, relating to the Bouaké incident.

The modus operandi remains the same for the Fecafoot executive. Finding reasons to manipulate the laws and rules of football in their  favor.

It was said, among the clan of followers of Samuel Eto’o, that the days of Gérémi Njitap and SYNAFOC were numbered.

Njitap, à two-time Champions League winner was to be ejected from all football-related activities for a period of at least five years.

Fecafoot equally looked for ways to replace SYNAFOC with another association.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has taken up interest in the matter. In its letter dated May 6 addressed to the General Secretary of Fecafoot, Mr. Blaise Djounang, of which sportglitz obtained a copy, CAF underlines the following:

” given that the incident reported occurred during an official CAF competition, the Confederation of African Football would have exclusive jurisdiction to hear this matter.

“As this is the case, we ask you to cease any procedure which may be in progress and to transmit to the Confederation of African Football all the necessary documents and probative elements in this case.”

CAF instructs Samuel Eto’o to go on  with “investigations”

This is a call to order for Samuel Eto’o and his executive. And this comes as a brutal reminder to the tenant of Tsinga.

The jurisdiction of Fecafoot applies only in Cameroon; the FA cannot take responsibility for matters that took place far from its base.

SYNAFOC remains a major part in Cameroon football. Before trying to eliminate it from the scene, it would be better to have arguments and tangible proof.
