CAF Women’s CL: Green Buffaleos Make Statement Victory Against Determine Ladies

It was a festival of goals on Sunday afternoon at the start of the second edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League.

Zambia’s Green Buffaloes beat Liberia’s Determine Girls 4-0. The two clubs are among the eight teams qualified for the final stages of the African tournament in Morocco from October 30 to November 13, 2022.

At the Prince Moulay El Hassan stadium, Determine Girls fell under heavyweights – Green Buffaloes, prolly due to stage fright.

The goals were scored by Maweta Chilenga (8), Natasha Nanyangwe (30), Hellen Chanda (31) and Ireen Lungu at the 58th minute of play.

With this 4-0 victory, the Green Buffaloes take the lead in Group A with 3 points. The other teams in the group are Simba Queens FC (Tanzania) and AS FAR (Morocco). The Woman of the Match award went to Ireen Lungu.
