CAF Women’s CL: Hasaacas OK Place In Finale, AS FAR KO
Hasaacas Ladies sealed a spot in the finals of the inaugural CAF Women’s Champions League, after their 2-1 victory over AS FAR in the semis.
The game was filled with lots of excitement, once more, testifying to the rapid growth of the women’s game on the African continent.
Hasaacas drew first blood through Doris Boaduwaa, after she lashed on to a Perpetua Agyekum cross with 36 minutes of the game gone.
AS FAR pulled back parity Najat Badri on the whistle (45th minute) before the close of the first segment, to sway the momentum on the side of the group B runners – up.
Evelyn Badu struck at the 77th minute to put the game to bed. It was the 19 year old’s fourth goal of the tournament, which made her the tournament’s lead goal – scorer in the process.
Hasaacas with this superlative form have put up a strong argument as perhaps the favorites to win the title. Kings and Sundowns play later today to determine who earns the right to face Hasaacas in the finals in November 19.
