CAF Women’s CL: TP Mazembe Ladies Stun Wadi Degla

TP Mazembe Ladies beat  Egyptian representatives,   Wadi Degla 1-0 in their first ever game in the CAF women’s champion’s League on Monday, October 31 in Marrakech.

The Congolese side opened the scoring at 7th minute  courtesy Merveille Kanjinga.

Mazembe finished the match with 10 ladies after a  red card was shown to Justine Boussu.

In the other match of the group, South African side Mamelodi Sundowns beat  Bayelsa Queens 2-1.

Mazembe plays next on Thursday October 3 against  Bayelsa Queens  at 8 p.m.

For their debut tourney, Mazembe Ladies are lodged in group B alongside defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa, Bayelsa Queens of Nigeria and Wadi Degla SC of Egypt.
