Indomitable Lions defender Nicolas Nkoulou, 30, reacted post match to Cameroon’s defeat against Switzerland in their opening group G game – calling for calm.

In the mixed zone, Nicolas Nkoulou made remarks: “When you lose a match like this, what do you want? We cannot kerp crying. What could we do better? We just needed goals.

‘We lost. We have to come back, prepare and not look at who to fault.

‘We are going to do the right analysis. I stay focused on the essentials. We will build on the positives. It wasn’t all bad. We are going to erase what was less good, work on what was not good and find the right balance. The most important thing is to give our best.

‘Some days it happens, some days it doesn’t, after you have the feeling of having given everything,’ the Aris defender ended.

Nkoulou played 90 minutes in the game and he was partnered by Castelletto. But for the Embolo goal, the pair both left a marker in the game. Nkoulou and co have Serbia forthcoming in four days.
