Cameroon Vs. Brazil: Indomitable Lions Possible XI Without Hongla, Choupo & Aboubakar To Partner

For the first time in the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup, Vincent Aboubakar is set to play alongside Eric Maxim Choupo Moting in Cameroon’s attack line.

It equally means they will be a change of formation from coach Rigobert Song’s traditional 4-3-3 system to 4-4-2.

Aboubakar will deservedly be given a chance after he acted as a super substitute with a man of the match winning performance against Serbia, when he scored a goal of the tournament contender and assisted Choupo as the game drew 3-3.

Martin Hongla has an ankle sprain and he did not train on Thursday as he couldn’t recover in time for the game. The Hellas Verona man started two of Cameroon’s previous games against Switzerland and Serbia

With Onana Andre out of the camp, Davies Epassy is set to guard goal for only his 7th time with the Indomitable Lions. The Abha man who has been a default second choice for the indomitable Lions conceded 3 against Serbia.

Given Nicolas Nkoulou’s uncertainty, Christopher Wooh is set to be given a chance in the heart of the defense alongside Jean Charles Casteleto (he too is uncertain).

Ebosse’s attacking prioress is hugely needed as the indomitable Lions need a win, and the Udinese left back is another who could start his first game of the tournament against Brazil.

Dynamo Moscow winger Moumi Ngamaleu is set to come in place of Toko Ekambi, while Bryan Mbeumo will keep his position down the right.
