Cameroon Vs. Kenya: Olivier Ntcham replaced by Castelletto
Olivier Ntcham is unavailable for the double confrontation against Kenya this coming Friday. The midfielder has been replaced by Jean Charles Castelletto, per sportglitz sources.
For the upcoming games, Marc Brys will no longer be able to count on Olivier Ntcham. The midfielder was injured during game day 8 of the Turkish Super League.
A few days ago, Marc Brys explained the reasons for the non-selection of Nantes defender Jean-Charles Castelletto.
“Concerning Castelletto, he called me three weeks ago. He had already (played) two matches. He is getting fitter and better. He will increase his level more and more. It was too close, too fast for me.
“We would like to use perhaps another guy who has other qualities and who plays a lot of time during such an important match”, the technician explained. But that’s not all. The 29-year-old is also said to be in trouble with his coach Antoine Kombouaré.
“Unfortunately, I also heard that Castelletto was in conflict with his coach. Tomorrow or the day after, I will get back in touch with him to find out what happened”, added the former coach of Saint-Trond.
Hopefully, this call-up turns around what has been a turn of misfortunes for the Nantes skipper.
The Indomitable Lions are set to face the Harambee stars on Friday, October 11, 2024 at the Omnisports Ahmadou Ahidjo stadium in Yaounde.
It is part of the 3rd day of the AFCON 2025 qualifiers. On October 14, there will be a revered fixture, this time, in Kampala.
