Cameroon – World Cup: Duplexe Tchamba Pre-selected For Lions With No Minutes At Casa Pia

Indomitable Lions center-half, Duplexe Tchamba has been pre-selected amid 55 others by coach Rigobert Song for the upcoming Qatar World Cup, despite not having kicked a ball at club level.

The 24-year-old’s invitation has been signed by current Fecafoot Secretary General, Blaise Djounang, and it was handed on October 19.

‘Dear sir, Cameroon’s senior men’s National team will take part in the FIFA world cup hosted in Qatar from November 20, 2022 to December 18, 2022.

‘In view of the above, we have the honor to tell you that you have been pre selected to take part in the competition. Please take all necessary measures to ensure your presence at the aforementioned competition’s preparatory camp that starts on November 14, 2022,’ reads an Invitational letter stumbled on by sportglitz.com.

Tchamba is currently on loan to Portuguese first-tier side, Casa Pia – from parent club SönderjyskE, but hasn’t sweated a thing after 10 match days.

The latter’s pre-selection is set to meet a lot of stick, especially as he has been found wanting when donning the national team jersey in recent times.

This online portal is made to understand that another Cameroonian international of the same team, Brice Yan Eteki has been pre-selected as well.

Tchamba came through the ranks having played in two categories (U20 and U23), but at senior level, he has been limited to just four appearances.
