CAMTEL Fenasco League A gets off to thrilling start in Mokundange

On Wednesday April 3rd, the CAMTEL Fenasco league A games got off to a thrilling start at the Ngeme Olympic stadium.

It was a customary start to the 9-day competition that has as a tag: ” School sports, a guarantee of peace and sustainable development”.

7-time Mount Cameroon race of hope winner, Sara Etongue illuminated the occasion when she lit up the Olympic flames before a nearly filled house in the stadium.

Minister of Secondary education, professor Nalova Lyonga opined in her speech that these days of activities will be used as a medium to instill artificial intelligence in the over 2000 participants.

The Minister of Sports and Physical education, professor Narcisse Mouelle Kombi was equally in attendance and made up part of the kick off team, in the competition’s first game: North West against South West (Women).

Prior to the match of the day, all 10 regions completed the tracks match pass ritual, showcasing culture and tradition, with some fine dance tunes.

When the real business got down, South West ladies defeated North West ladies 2-0 in a lopsided encounter.

Main competition sponsors CAMTEL heavily deployed more than 50 workers to support the vision of minister of Secondary education.

In a statement released by the Telecommunications juggernauts after the end of day one activities, there is more to come.

“CAMTEL has always been a major supporter of any sports initiatives in the country. We were in Gashiga last year, and now we are in Limbe. That’s because we believe in the youths.

“Camtel will offer special prizes to winners of the competition.”
