CAMTEL puts smiles on Faces as Fenasco draws curtain
The Limbe Centenary stadium matched outfit with the sky (Blue and white); synonymous with the colors of Cameroon’s trailblazing, Telecommunications network, CAMTEL – as kids from the East region jumped for joy after winning gold in men’s football against the center region.
CAMTEL had clothed both winners and losers of the finale but that seemed only the tip of the iceberg, as a member of the marketing department, George Essama explained;
“We are pleased to have participated in history.” Essama said with some satisfaction.
This edition of the CAMTEL Fenasco A games was the 24th, just one edition away from the silver jubilee billed for Abong Mbang next year.
“In the last 10 days we have worked with the Ministry of Secondary education to participate in this major event. Our role as a cooperate company is to support sports, educational initiatives, and it is what we managed to do today, supporting young people from all over the country.” He added.
Over 2000 students cum athletes from all 10 regions were present in limbe, but the gargantuan number did not stop CAMTEL from delivering what they had in stall.
“We participated in different aspects. Being the best internet service providers in Cameroon, we provided broadband internet during the competition.
“We sponsored some of the major prizes in partnership with the Ministry of Secondary education.” Ended Essama.

At the close of the ceremony, the Minister of Secondary education, Nalova Lyonga commended CAMTEL for its role, in adding more value, especially with positive feedbacks.
The FENASCO League A Games , which began on Tuesday, April 2, brought together thousands of athletes from the 10 regions of Cameroon to compete in 12 sporting disciplines.
The closing ceremony, concluded with an exciting football match, that saw the Eastern Region emerge victorious over the Central Region with a 2-1 scoreline.
YaThere was the presence of several high ranked state officials at the closing ceremony, including Mounouna Foutsou and Jean de Dieu Momo, underlining the importance of the event.
