Paul Henri Tchikeu opened scoring at the Ngoa Ekelle Stadium 34minutes into the Matchday-16 classic from the penalty spot following a protested handball inside the Bamboutos box.
Bediako’s men were, as has been the case recently quiet upfront despite revealing signs of huge attacking prowess at the early stages of the season. The scoreline stood same at half-time.
The story would become tougher for the visitors after the pose with Bil Dorol Nsongo scoring a brace before the hour mark and inside the last quarter of the game to shoot Canon into top spot.
Nsongo’s double on the afternoon leaves the 21-year-old on three goals scored in two straight matches.
Bamboutos ends the day on fourth, (23points) and risk dropping further down with Gazelle just two points behind and has a game in hand.
