Cape Town City throw away $500k bid for Ambina

Brice Ambina is not for sale according to Cape Town City FC.

The South African club has just rejected an offer of 500,000 dollars from Latvia for her midfielder.

Under contract until 2026 with the South African first division club and pillar of its midfield, it will be difficult to let Brice Ambina leave this summer.

According to SA journalist Lorenz Köhler, a first offer of 500,000 dollars from Latvia was rejected by the Cape Town City FC management.

Ambina, given his importance in the team, is deemed non-transferable this summer. Since arriving in South Africa in 2022, the former Renaissance FC player from Ngoumou has become the midfield leader for Cape Town.

Moreover, during his first season, he was voted the club’s best young player before confirming the hopes placed in him this season.

He played 30 games in all competitions proof of his role in the group and his status.

Nonetheless, Cape Town City remain exposed to a counter attack from the Virsliga club who are keen to secure the services of the 21-year-old midfielder before the start of their European campaign. So it’s a case to follow.
