CHAN 2022: 2020 Finalists Mali Air 26-Man Squad

A list of 26 Mali players was unveiled on Monday, January 2 at the headquarters of the Federation by head coach, Nouhoum Diané. Among them are eight survivors of the last edition of the African Nations Championship (Cameroon) where they ended runners up.

Mamadou Coulibaly (Stade Malien), author of the winning goal in the semi-finals against Guinea in the 2020 edition, is one of the major absentees from the list.

The local Eagles left Bamako on Tuesday 3 for Tunisia where they will have a 10-day camp. They are housed in group D along with Mauritania and Angola. Only the first jn the group automatically qualifies for the quarter-finals.
