CHAN 2023: Intermediate Lions Enter Camp Today

The intermediate Lions of Cameroon are set to open camp this Monday Dec. 12 ahead of the African Nations Championship scheduled for January 13.

The 30 players pre-selected by coach Alioum Saidou are expected to enter camp, with the exception of others who are at this moment in Congo, representing Cameroon in the UNIFFAC U20 zonal competition.

Skipper, Yves Alain Moukoko and the other lads will gather at the FECAFOOT head office at 2 pm local time.

At 4:00 pm, all and sundry will head to their base in the CAF Excellence center in Mbankomo.

Cameroon hosted the 2021 African Nations Championship and ended up as fourth-placed runners-up after two defeats on the spin against Morocco (semis) and Guinea (third place game).

A 2-0 win against Equatorial Guinea in September earned Cameroon a ticket to the tournament finals next year in Algeria.

This is Cameroon’s fourth participation in the competition and the country’s best return was the 5th place finish in in 2020.
