Charles Yohane: EX Zimbabwe Int’l Brutally Murdered In SA

Former Zimbabwean international Charles Yohane was shot dead last Saturday, and died at the age of 48, while riding in his cab, in the Soweto district of South Africa.

Yohan was since then missing, before his body was identified by his family and friends on Tuesday, February 15, without the cab, which was reportedly highjacked by his murderers.

It was reportedly a bullet to the latter’s head, that caused his death.

According to some of his family members, the former midfielder had gone to a game before the infamous couple of events.

Yohane donned the Zimbabwe shirt 23 times and participated in two AFCON finals, in 2004 and 2006, with the Warriors of Zimbabwe.

He spent a total of nine seasons with South African giants Bidvest Wits, where he became the most capped player, with 268 appearances between 1997 and 2006.

Charles Yohane then worked as a coach for the Johannesburg-based club (Bidvets).

Late Yohan was an affiliate at VTC Bolt, whilst following his activities within a private academy in Soweto.
