Choupo-Moting On For 13 Minutes As Bayern Draw Against Dortmund In The ‘Der Klassiker’

Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting replaced Sadio Mane in Bayern’s 2-all draw against Dortmund in the ‘Klassiker’ derby, but not even the Cameroonian’s entry did not guarantee 3 points for the Bavarians.

Dortmund rather equalised shortly after Choupo-Moting made his way to the pitch. The home side came from two goals down to earn a point thanks to a 95th-minute equaliser from Anthony Modeste.

Leon Goretzka and Leroy Sane put the visitors into a comfortable lead at Signal Iduna Park and seemingly on their way to a ninth-straight win over Dortmund.

However, Modeste turned the game as he provided an assist for Youssoufa Moukoko to get a goal back. Modeste then missed a sitter with seven minutes to go, spurning a chance to equalise. The forward would atone for his mistake with a powerful header at the back post to deny Bayern victory.

Choupo barely had a sniff at goal, and couldn’t follow through his first goal of the season scored against Plzen earlier on Tuesday, in the champions league.
