Christian Bassogog Has What Conceiçao Expects On The Wings

Indomitable Lions of Cameroon coach Antonio Conceiçao, pre – the Lions’ two WC qualifying games this October, made mention of the fact that he needs more diversity on the sides, the reason he called up Paul George Ntep of Boavista in Portugal.

29 year old Ntep however, picked up a knock and was replaced by Ignatius Ganago of Lens, and so, Conceiçao had to do with the players at hand.

Despite Shanghai Shenhua winger – Christian Bassogog having a very different style to that of Ntep, the 25 year old posesses quality that could be termed as top – notch on his day.

Of four games in this World Cup qualifying campaign, Bassogog has been limited to just one start – against the Cote D’Ivoire.

Bassogog has played a total of 164 minutes this qualifying campaign, and has had to put a shift whenever called upon from the bench.

With Christian Bassogog given more game time, he could hit top gear, that of course, will be beneficial to Conceiçao and the Indomitable Lions.

The latter has had a hand in 7 goals out of 14 games played for his club in the Chinese Super League this season.
