Colonel Kalkaba Malboum Acclaimed As Head Of Cameroon’s Olympic and Sports Committee

Colonel Kalkaba Malboum was unsurprisingly acclaimed as head of the National Olympic and Sports Committee Friday, January 26.

With 82.86% of the vote, Kalkaba Malboum was once again chosen to ensure the destiny of the CNOSC. The elective General Assembly was held on Friday at the Palais des Congrès in Yaoundé.

His new mandate runs until 2024, for the sake of compliance with the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

At 72, Colonel Kalkaba Malboum has been at the head of the CNOSC since 2001. It is especially important to recall that the current president of the Cameroon Football Federation, Samuel Eto’o is a member of the CNOSC executive board.

Kalkaba Malboum stated after the process that. “I am happy to have the confidence of my peers. I will be interested in setting up governance worthy of Cameroonian sport, and then preparing our athletes so that Cameroon can win medals at the 2024 Olympics in Paris. »
