Copper Queens Intensify preparations as FIFA women’s world cup nears
The Zambia women’s national team after having played high profile friendlies against; Colombia, North Macedonia, Slovenia, Uzbekistan, and South Korea, head to Germany, to complete preparations for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
The Copper Queens are off to Europe for an international camp in Germany with three more friendlies set to spice up preparations for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Meck Mwape’s side are in Group C of the women’s world cup alongside Spain, Japan and Costa Rica.
On July 22, the 2022 WAFCON bronze medalists will step onto the global stage for the first time, facing off against the formidable team from Japan.
Four days later, they will take on Spain, followed by a clash with Costa Rica on July 31.
The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) as per sportglitz sources, will make available Isreali gaffer, Avram Grant, in the three-week tourney.
Grant is expected to offer his expertise as the team shapes up for the global showpiece.
