Cotonsport Gets Boost Ahead Of CAF champions league Campaign
Cotonsport of Garoua has officially penned a three year partnership with the United Nations international Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF), few weeks before they start their TotalEnergies CAF Champions League campaign.
The UNICEF franchise has been present in Cameroon since 1975, and the organization have now decided to pay attention to the sports sector, beginning with 17-time Elite One winners, Cotonsport of Garoua.
Both parties entered contractual terms this Monday January 30, at 11 a.m., in UNICEF’s headquarter in Bastos, Yaounde.
The deal was signed for a period of 3 years renewable, with the northern club represented by president Fernand Sadou, representatives of FECAFOOT and other club executives led by sporting director, Adamou Saliou Hamadou.
Cotonsport FC of Garoua will now be messengers for UNICEF through her official spaces, to communicate the cause of Cameroonian children.
In return, they will receive the financial support of partners UNICEF spanning from: logistical, material, organizational support and other activities of common interest in relation to the needs of the club.
Placed in group B of the CAF champions league, this is a booster for Cotonsport ahead of games against Al Ahli Omdurman, Al Ahly and Mamelodi Sundowns. Cotonsport starts her Champions League campaign at home on February 17.
