DAC Signs Didier Lamkel Ze

Cameroon international Didier Lamkel Ze has been loaned out to Slovakian top – tier outfit DAC 1904, with an option to make the deal permanent next term.

Didier Lamkel Zé had been on his way towards the exit at Antwerp for months now. The club did not find a solution transfer deadline day, but in some countries the transfer window has remained open a little longer, Likewise in Slovakia. DAC 1904, the Slovakian vice-champion, have taken advantage of this and have acquired the forward.

“I consider this the right step for my career,” Lamkel Zé said on the website of his new club.

“I am yet to talk to the coach about the team’s goals, but I definitely want to finish in the top three. I will have to contribute to that, with double figures of goals and assists. That way I will also be able to return to the Cameroon national team.

Quizzed on if he thinks he will become the most valuable player in Slovakia, and how he copes with the pressure, the winger opined;

‘That I become the most valuable player in the league? That doesn’t bother me, no. I’m a footballer who doesn’t feel any pressure when I step on the pitch.”

Lamkel Zé played his last league match for Antwerp on April 17, 2021. Not the lack of talent, but because of his antics Lamkel Zé disappeared from the senior team. The situation became worse as time went on.. Now there is a temporary solution with a loan to DAC, next year he will in principle return to Antwerp. Although the chances of staying are relatively smaller.
